How Claude edits my videos: setup + a ready prompt

What you need

• Claude Code: a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan (the free Claude plan doesn't include it)
• Node.js 22+ and FFmpeg (for HyperFrames)

1. Install Claude Code (macOS / Linux; Windows: code.claude.com/docs/en/setup)

2. Add HyperFrames to Claude Code

3. Put your raw video and your music in one folder (e.g. raw.mov, music.mp3), run claude there and paste this:

raw.mov is my talking-head video (vertical, 1080x1920). Turn it into an Instagram reel:
1. Transcribe it word by word with Whisper.
2. Cut the silences, half-finished sentences and repeated takes; keep the last take. Show me the cut list before you cut.
3. Use /hyperframes to add word-by-word captions: 1-2 words on screen, never over my face.
4. Show a one-line title on the first frame: "<your title>".
5. Add short animations on the main points; if I talk about a site or a tool, use a real screenshot.
6. Put music.mp3 under my voice at a low level so it never fights the speech.
7. Render a preview for me first; when I approve, render a 1080x1920 MP4.

Tips

• Ask for fixes on the first video ("bigger captions", "that cut is too early"); Claude updates the same project.
• Have Claude save the settings you like in a CLAUDE.md file, and every next video comes out in the same style.
• Use music you're allowed to use (your own library or a royalty-free site).
